Coffee refers to the Coffea plant which coffee beans come from. Coffee beans are actually seeds of the red or purple fruit the Coffea plant produces, often referred to as a cherry or berry. There are two main types off coffee plants: Arabica and Robusta. Arabica beans contain about 0.8 - 1.4 % caffeine; Robusta, around 1.7 - 4.0 %. First discovered in Ethiopia, coffee spread throughout the world and is now cultivated in five countries including Ethiopia. â€‹

Our coffee butter is a natural blend of sweet almond oil, hydrogenated vegetable oil and coffee seed oil. Coffee seed oil is extracted from roasted or green coffee beans, through cold-pressing. Green coffee oil in particular, is known to have high levels of vitamin E, antioxidants, fatty acids as well as other vitamins and nutrients. Some studies have shown coffee oil to have similar effects as hyaluronic acid by promoting the production of elastin and collagen - both essential to increasing skin appearance and firmness.
