Hello (3).png

Shea butter is an edible fat that is extracted by crushing the seeds of the shea nut tree, grinding them into an oily paste, then boiled so the impurities can be sifted out. Native to Western Africa especially along the Saharan belt, it is a staple in healthcare, pharmaceutical and natural beauty industries, used for its moisturizing and healing properties.

Shea butter is so versatile because it is not only rich in numerous fatty acids, but also safe for all skin types. It contains many hydrating compounds and vitamins including vitamin E, but does not leave behind a sticky or oily feeling. It is also extremely healing, boasting antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral and antibacterial qualities which make it ideal for fighting acne-causing bacteria and preventing breakouts. It boosts cell regeneration and collagen production, reducing the appearance of blemishes, scars and stretch marks, and offers minimal sun protection with an SPF of about 3 to 4.
